Bank of Industry released the ESG Adoption by Nigerian MSMEs report, providing data-driven insight into the current state of ESG awareness, adoption gaps, and financing constraints across Nigeria’s MSME ecosystem.
The study draws on primary data from over 300 MSMEs across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones and informs BOI’s sustainable financing strategy, ESG-aligned product design, and engagement with development and climate finance partners.
The report supports evidence-based capital deployment and risk management in priority sectors including renewable energy, climate-smart agriculture, infrastructure, health, and the circular economy.
