The Managing Director of the Bank of Industry (BOI), Dr. Olasupo Olusi, joined key stakeholders across the continent at the African Union MSME Forum 2025, held under the theme: “Building Resilient MSMEs through Digital Innovation, Market Access & Affordable Financing for Africa.”
The forum brought together policymakers, entrepreneurs, financial institutions, and development partners to discuss strategies for strengthening Africa’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) — widely recognized as the backbone of the continent’s economic growth.
In his remarks, Dr. Olusi reaffirmed BOI’s unwavering commitment to supporting MSMEs through strategic partnerships, innovative financing models, and access to digital tools. He emphasized that empowering MSMEs is central to achieving inclusive economic development across Africa, especially in an increasingly digital and interconnected world.
As Nigeria’s leading development finance institution, BOI continues to champion initiatives that promote job creation, industrialization, and the sustainable growth of small businesses. Participation in continental dialogues like the AU MSME Forum reflects the Bank’s active role in shaping the future of enterprise development across Africa.
The Bank remains focused on delivering impact through tailored support and financing solutions that help MSMEs scale, compete globally, and contribute meaningfully to national and regional economic transformation.
